Networked blog invitation = more traffic

I installed Networked Blog which is an application that works like MyBlogLog (which runs properly if you have your Yahoo Messenger or Mail cookies on) but it’s more or less facebook oriented.. so if you have a blog or something that needs tracking and fan clubbing..it’s for you…

Why I look forward to that is the functionality of INVITE FRIENDS to your blog..which for me.. has over like 5000 friends and real people thanks to games like Mafia Wars and other links. And if I go back to my old tricks, by installing Linky plugin addon for Mozilla Firefox, then I can track visit over 50 blogs and pages and FAVORITE THEM or FOLLOW to get my traffic back to the levels I am comfortable, that read to about 5Million Pageviews a month at least…which is what Google Analytics is now imposing on me.

Anyway, MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) is announcing the SERVICE PACK UPDATE 1 for Windows 7. What? That’s just a month or so into the launch and they are already having the issues. Thus why I am still stuck in Vista for my laptop (errgh..should have installed the XP 64bit!) and that my new PCs are all installed with Windows XP Pro 2009…and yeah it works on MAK or manufacturers Activated Key ..meaning no need to activate…and despite it says Evaluation Copy….and Windows Embedded POSREADY 2009, I don’t care as long it does not give me as much headache as before…auto install babes!

Another thing I like about MSDN, is that the events put up for us… but then, I want to go to MAK101 conference which is in LAS VEGAS… errm… it’s costly…so can I have a sponsor or donations??please?

Fear of Allah, and of riots

Filed under: Notes — Azrin @ 12:28 am

As a Muslim, I fear my God, Allah, the God of Abraham, Ismael, Moses and Muhammad. And for the fear and honor of God, the One God, that many wars and fights have convened in the Name of the Almighty and that reminds me of the racial riots that break the entire governance of a country or a sovereign nation.

Racial riots reminded of the fragility of the minds and hearts of the people’s faith which caused numerous and unneeded deaths to the city state of Singapore and in Kuala Lumpur. All caused by an ignorant person throwing a beer bottle at a Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (Maulud Rasul) procession and the damaged caused to persons and personal property crippled the country.

Today in Malaysia, the courts of Malaysia have decided that it is OK to let Christians use the word ALLAH in their Bible and Publications as opposed just having the word GOD.That they did not understand the racial and religious harmony that is being cracked by that decision that even in Singapore, the imperialist Lee would not even try to associate anything to the word Allah as other than the God of the Muslims. It is ORDAINED and STATED IN THE CONSTITUTION. That once that kind of ruling takes place, that if the Christians can use Allah, which just literally mean ILLAH or God, then the Jewish community and even that maybe the Hindus will use that word as the supreme being.

So what can be next? Buddha is Allah? How can that be? There is no way out for Malaysia other than to take away the powers of the court and convene the powers of the rulers, to dissolve the Herald, which is a Christian Weekly, that they too are totally at fault for taking this matter to court. And that no other religion is official other than ISLAM which is like that in the Indonesia Constitution, or the Pancasila.

Which is seriously sad. I just hope that since the arson of the church in KL won’t be a trigger point by the politicians to cause the meltdown of the nation, being that there are so many conflicts now, with foreign nationals and Africans which are the cause of many ills of the society like scams, frauds, breaking and entering, trafficking in illicit drugs and sex , murders, rape and the works and I for one can say that the Indonesians which are so many in the capital won’t stand up for their religion being trampled upon.

All I can say is , if there are no proper action taken to protect the religion by the politicians, then they are sure going to have a real sinker when come 2 years time when the ballot is casted.

Whack the bugger…. With Windows 7

I am back in Kulim Kedah where the Internet is supposed to be ..errm well, not up to par with the requirements which partially promises 7.2M connection to Celcom broadband but then, given the facts and figures, the max I am supposed to get is about 300kbps, which equates to the factor of overheads to 28.8KBps and thats KILOBYTES not KILO BITS (1024 bits=1KB) which is supposed to be ‘Broadband’ but I would say… I needed more..so I am now up to my old tricks again….

For those who are itching for Windows 7.. I have a present for you. I have the ISO MEDIA for download direct from Microsoft, but then, it will take you about ..say 2 days of downloading since it’s 2.25GB big and you can’t cheat by using DownThemAll or DownloadManager boosters.

MSDN will kill me for this..but technically, you can install them, and test it..as you will need a real full key using MICROSOFT ENTERPRISE N version to activate it..or a KMS server cracked off somewhere… which I won’t tell.

For Crying Out Loud

Filed under: Notes — Azrin @ 6:30 pm

Darn, now I feel the brunt of why the average Malaysian hate and disgusted by the state of the Malaysian Broadband as what I wrote in the article in Helium last few weeks and now it’s really getting on my darn nerves. It’s really depressing that even getting a decent connection to Google or even Facebook is a drag here for me, far worse than being on dial up. Believe you me, it’s really a nag and if that is not bad enough, the cheapest Wireless broadband would be about RM8 a day or as cheap as RM20 a week (works to RM80+ a month) and that is far more expensive than STREAMYX which is about RM66 a month for 384kbps for what is people on CELCOM is paying. The Postpaid RM98 a month will be 7.2M link but technically, one would be lucky to get even a decent 1M link over the line of sight.

Being Malaysians who live in the metropolitan areas are all in either condominiums, flats or even landed properties, the wireless signals deteriorate and thus we will be lucky to get a single bar on the signal strength. Basically, the modem will need to send out more power and radiation to get their signals across. And if it rains, then the signal deteriorate further since water bounces off the signals like a ping pong ball.

Compare this RM80 for Celcom prepaid, RM100 for Hotlink and RM150 for Digi Prepaid with fair usage caps of about 1G,200Mb, 100Mb daily limits respectively. P1 Wimax, AMAX, WiNET and iZZy 4G are more expensive than these players.

I seriously giving up on these wireless and so I will have to stay near to my McDonalds for my downloads and proper connection. Hmmn.

Vista to XP and it’s problems

Recently, I got plagued with my cd licence keys being tampered and stolen by some people in my company and that really takes the piss out of me. Really with the Genuine Pack validation and stuff like that, I got blank black screens with my original stickers and well that is the start of the problem.

Thing is, with so many XP Service pack versions of Windows in circulation and that I purchased them on seperate occasions and not all at the same time gives me the creeps. Knowingly, SP1 keys will not work on original XP CD.

Stupid keys for XP3 will not work on SP1 and likewise for the Home Editions. Which is taking the piss out of me. Now I really have to fall back onto upgrading Vista and then downgrading into XP Pro or Home using a pirated installer disc which is really bad. It’s a matter of Principles, when I have PAID for the original thing and I am hereby forced to utilise pirated versions of the installer to get to where I needed to get done.

Post notes:
XP Won’t Allow you to DOWNGRADE from XP Pro to XP Home

Vista allow you to UPGRADE or Downgrade your VISTA VERSIONS (Home Basic to Ultimate etc) using just the update key function

Vista Won’t Let you downgrade your copy to XP Pro or XP Home.
You will need to reinstall a new copy of windows. Microsoft made agreements with HP,DELL,IBM and ACER that if you get a PC or Laptop PREINSTALLED with WINDOWS VISTA, you can get XP Pro for your single use, PROVIDED YOUR CURRENT KEY IS NOT ACTIVATED.

Just use a pirated means to install and then call them, they will provide you a new key and installation certification code. Some of these codes MAY WORK, and are BLACKLISTED from activations:

Windows XP Professional System Builder (Full)
TTGHK-3RC33-BT9DR-3BVYV-BTQ98

These keys are BLACKLISTED and Provided by Microsoft for TECHNET scripted Installs.

Mainly, you do a fresh Install. Disregard any updates available etc and just install the copy. Some SATA Drivers are not loaded (many aren’t) and then just run windows as normal. If you update, then you will need a genuine key. I can sell you the key for an exchange of your current Vista Key and the CD. It’s that I got a whole stash of devices which is sitting still.

For those who need the XP Disc for your own PERSONAL INSTALL, I have them in my download repository. It’s for PERSONAL ACCESS ONLY and since it’s flipping HUGE, I’ve break them up to smaller pieces.

I will add more to this soon…or once the data is up.

Aductions no more

Filed under: Notes — Azrin @ 2:52 am

Aductions Inc US today made a statement to all the permanent and freelance affiliates based overseas.

That the Malaysia Office will be shut down due to restructuring and that all debts and liabilities of Aductions Malaysia be carried forward to Aductions US, and that the Malaysian Board will clear off the Bandar Utama office immediately.

In doing so, the Malaysian Board of Directors opted to sell off the company lock stock and barrel to another party to reduce the debts.
