While some of you opted that the fiver they offered were good enough, one should stop and pull a few steps back and see if the five dollars they offer you for the 300 word post is well worth it or not. Though may not be trivial for some, five dollars makes a huge difference in balancing the budget and it becomes more apparent to me with the shows like Deadliest Catch where the crab fisherman work with all sorts of danger to fish out $5 worth of Alaskan King Crab each way.
Well, the good thing about speed with the internet getting too cluttered is that Google came with GEARS, where speed is essence when loading up blogs and writing posts and such. It’s more or less using the WFW and ATOM publishing methods and pulling RSS and CSS directly instead, similar when we read a feed. Or some may monetize with FEEDSBURNER where Google is making another mess again with ancient accounts and linking with the new Adsense accounts.
Either way, it’s not doing me any favours as the pings on my backend is killing my post feed.Should have updated the feed systems earlier this month when I noticed it on the WP TRACT mailer but then I was too frigging lazy to change all my 82 blogs settings which makes me want to create another API where I can just XML call to the database to change my settings directly without this heavy graphic thingy.
Is it well worth it to sell my soul for $5 and risk my pageranks? Nope. I rather write for helium, though peanuts or $3 for the summer articles, but then I just do that more of a passion than of earning a living. Maybe I can later on develop these great writing skills to a book and really make good money like Salman Rushdie by slandering people and such, and get as many fatwas to make me a matyr or so.
What ever it is, finction or fact, blogging is slowly loosing it’s value and by writing great long articles nowadays makes it more worth than that five dollars from the paid post, because mainly Google will love you more and pay for the great feeds.
Heck, yeah, ZACKIRE, my sister has over 23000 feed reader which makes me darn wonder..or was it another hack again? I don’t know..as long she pays for the domain…heck it.
