That is just happened or is still happening to my Zyraz Master servers. I was synchronising stuff and data from Hostgator to PRONETHosting which seriously needs alot of data updates and stuff like that. The problem is that the critical data are NOT MIRRORED..and errgh! I am faced with issues again.

You see, there are many things to do, like 15 Wordpress blogs to reset and sync, 2 CRM systems, Support Ticket systems, AWBS for domain and hosting which are big huge files for your information, plus many data to upload. With the CELCOM giving me slow upload speeds, I am really heavy on the load and no way I am able to do all these pronto.

Having said that, I am trying to contemplate if the Microsoft Azure Platform is the better alternative for me as the way I see it, having a dedicated 1.6Ghz CPU with unlimited RAM resources (1.75GB I think) is quite a task despite the small bandwidth (10GB standard) and 7GB duplex data transfer for US and 2.5GB for Asia Pacific. In all, it cost $150 per TB delivered for US ($100/TB in) and $450 / TB outbound for Asia Pacific (well, $150/TB if it’s INBOUND only)…but way it works now is that if you do web hosting 12% in, 70% out and rest is in between, depending on your regional targeting, and if you use the High End Core which is a 8-Core (similar to 2 Xeon Quad Core CPU) with 14GB RAM and 2048GB of Storage Instance but then, I need to define how and what to do as compared to a full proper instance in my Windows Server 2008 running T4200 Core-2 2.0Ghz laptop..which is sluggish even with 4GB RAM because mainly due to the hard disk.

Even then, I have to migrate the VHD or Virtual Hard Drives up to the servers to run them… errgh! The pain.

Anyone has experience with Cloud?

However, if you can spare some time, the insurance companies require you to have your vehicle checked (puspakom) and it’s mandatory for MMIP. Glad news is that the inspection is doing free inspection during 8-13 Feb…

One thing is that Pos Malaysia has the Insurans Kelompok which is a quota allocated to each office,and you can get those low rates back. Motorbikes are going as low as RM68 as opposed to the standard Rm190++. Find the small under utilised offices to get it…

Another thing, change your title deed (grant) of your car or motorbike. It has been leaked that there will be a rationing of subsidised fuel in May, when the new mechanism kicks in. What happens is that only ONE PERSON CAN HAVE ONE VEHICLE. And to draw subsidised fuel, you need to swipe the owner’s MYKAD into the reader and verify, before the cheap fuel is dispensed. Like the fleet card subsidy thingy. Point is, the new fuel prices is said to be RM3.70! just like how in Singapore or Thailand. And they will give quota of about 20Liters a month or week…that details is not confirmed.

Another thing is getting motorcyclist to park in the hot open air carpark area..going AGAINST THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC. Being a motorcyclist, I asked why must we do that when they allocated parking bays inside the building, painted and all and can’t they see people who use the motorbikes are usually family people, not Mat Rempit as they claim? That because of one or two, they justify these poor safety hazards as reasons?

That I found out that their contracted security staff are NOT VETTED OR LICENSED by the Security Intellegence Agency? How can you vet a foreigner to guard the public premises when , for everyone knowing, Malaysia Boleh means they can fake any identity or what so ever. Come on, these jokers must be replaced by locals which we have AFIS records of.

Any complaints go to NO WHERE. Because , the building complex is owned by Giant Complex Marketing or something like that…and it’s not Giant’s problem. So WHOSE PROBLEM IS IT??

So I do apologise if the recent spate of events are really haphazard..especially if I ramble to about nonsense.

I’m just plain depressed.

Here are some things YOU NEED TO DO before getting a heart attack with those call center gals and jerks in Cyberjaya or Melaka for SingTEL or VADS in TTDI KL for Streamyx…

Before doing,check on your router WHAT IS YOUR SPEED to the port? is it at least 1500kbps with at least 10db signals coming in? To do so, check using your modem gateway router,usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 (password id is usually admin, root, tmadmin and admin or blank as password) where it will say the signal strength…. 3db upstream gives a good 512kbps upload and 20db is needed for a stable download of 1mbps.

Some things to do to get it up and powerful….

1) CHECK YOUR FONE PORT.
Many, without knowing, have oxidised cabling…or burnt out after 1 year of using on the web….this is due to the high carrier loads on the cable…where it’s MTBF (mean time between failure) is about 1 year or so… Take an LED torch lamp..the one U find on the lighter etc, and see if it’s ORANGE COPPER / GOLD still on the connectors (or the plug where it’s connected to your RJ11 cable) as it’s the cause of issues..crackles all result from there. If it’s NOT SHINY…you need to change it..cost you a few ringgits/dollars (fiver or so)..and arm with a test pen. Don’t worry, it’s only 48v DC…

If the inner connectors (socket to the Telco Grey Wire) is also oxidised, cut and reconnect to the points back again. Snip the ‘burn out’ cables with a scissors and strip abit of the insulator and connect to the loop connector again. —-(@)=====[sockets] so cut the —- thin cables…from the screws to the grey cable not to the connector. If possible..replace the darn thing.

2) Replace your POTS cables….and the splitter..as it’s a cause ..usually…

3) Smell your modem (the free AzTech, Billion, Riger free telco one)…and if there are smell of burns…you are getting your line fried. I strongly recommend the Linksys modem as it comes with LIFETIME WARRANTY! And because it’s CISCO..you know you get good quality. I have one which is already 7 years old here..and the firmware supports 32mbps links…. ADSL2+ standards…. just upgrade the firmware once in a while…for better umph!

4) Use a good internet modem..not the chapalang one given for free…. But usually, with less than $30 spent above (over 1hour repair time) ..will resolve MOST of your issues…. and No..don’t use extension cables at all!!! Separate and isolate your fone cable from Power and Cellular signals like WiFi, DECT phones, Cellphones.

5) If you are in Singapore.. Starhub is a better stable connection..than SingTEL..and don’t get your hopes up on SINGTEL and their cost cutting techniques.

If these are done..and still crappy..then you need to get a wireman to check the POTS cable to your riser…as usually these are also fried. You can DIY if you wish..for usually it’s connected to a black box just near your TNB Power meter….and depends on the punching of the nodes.. RJ45 cables are sometimes used by geeks to get powerful low noise connections to the risers.

These will save you time and money rather waste on an appointment that those clowns won’t be turning up.

Among which, the recent rates revealed the softer part of me which I am really angry about, as many of the writers whom write about homeless and hunger don’t even know what they are talking about, for they have a roof over the head and a home to go at the end of the day, security but many, don’t. Over a few million in the US and in the UK, almost touch a million people according the Shelter UK, a homeless charity.

I faced homelessness before. It’s not an easy task. Hunger and desperation kicks in and when that is in play, you tend to forget yourself and be humbled and on the begging knees to beg for some sort of charitable reprieve. And to be reminded that religion too have some sort of cushion for people in poverty, gives nothing unless it’s beneficial to the people running the organisation, for tithes and alms taken during congressional meets like prayers or the sort.

To think I was already on the street because of the economy was something I had myself thinking, why on earth this is happening to me? And when you are on the street for the first time, it’s really scary, for you do not know how to fend for yourself or how you will get food and the such. I was a victim of a bad landlord. All we know was our stuff were already on the streets despite paying on time and such, and because we are foreigners, they treated us worse than dirt. Of course, we managed to scavenge our stuff and left some in friends place for a while and then forth, money was tight, what was of value was sold. Terrible and such in ways that in the first few nights, we slept in crypts and in the cold open winter conditions, in cemeteries and if we were lucky, managed to get some sort of shelter by sleeping in a mosque or the waiting room in the train station. With only the clothes on our backs, it’s somewhat I really remind myself not to fall into again, and waking up with severe aches and pains to the body which to this day, my body shivers worse off than someone suffering from rheumatism .

I just don’t want to say much, but all I do ask is for many, before writing on a subject concerning real life situations, take a moment and look back, are they qualified to write on that subject in itself?? For me.. I just thank God for all the blessings that I have….for even though I constantly be reminded of poverty, hunger and homelessness, I hope it’s a subject I do not have to bring up, for in many times in the recent months, hunger and the threat of homelessness is there again…and for I don’t need to call on other people’s charity.. for many..think we are just bums.. that we are actually not…for otherwise, we won’t be such.

Why I look forward to that is the functionality of INVITE FRIENDS to your blog..which for me.. has over like 5000 friends and real people thanks to games like Mafia Wars and other links. And if I go back to my old tricks, by installing Linky plugin addon for Mozilla Firefox, then I can track visit over 50 blogs and pages and FAVORITE THEM or FOLLOW to get my traffic back to the levels I am comfortable, that read to about 5Million Pageviews a month at least…which is what Google Analytics is now imposing on me.

Anyway, MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) is announcing the SERVICE PACK UPDATE 1 for Windows 7. What? That’s just a month or so into the launch and they are already having the issues. Thus why I am still stuck in Vista for my laptop (errgh..should have installed the XP 64bit!) and that my new PCs are all installed with Windows XP Pro 2009…and yeah it works on MAK or manufacturers Activated Key ..meaning no need to activate…and despite it says Evaluation Copy….and Windows Embedded POSREADY 2009, I don’t care as long it does not give me as much headache as before…auto install babes!

Another thing I like about MSDN, is that the events put up for us… but then, I want to go to MAK101 conference which is in LAS VEGAS… errm… it’s costly…so can I have a sponsor or donations??please?

Using a Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz still takes 94% of my CPU resource loads and to encode the 4.3GB of data which is nearly 7 hours of video (that’s 24 over episodes uncut) took more than 4 hours..which means one thing: a One to One system encoder..so I have yet to try out..so anyone has a Quad Core CPU to test?? Or must I use a Grid?

As much as I value friendship with Timothy Tiah.. I just feel that because the company is too big now..it’s getting the basics wrong..interpersonal skills lacking their current staff.

Anyway..once I hit the next threshold..I will cash out…and rather move on… I am not that person who depends on handouts like the many on the web…and Honor before Anything.

Like my trusty NAZA Symphony 124cc scooter which had minimal insurance (3rd party) last year at about RM62.40 had it’s premiums surged to RM320 for the same cover on typical insurance by the PIAM or Malaysian General Insurance Association and it’s comprehensive cover for RM1000 cost me a dear RM209.50 even with my 25% NCB. OUCH! It’s far too costly for me. In real effect, the cost of a monthly installment of a scooter cost about RM150 a month with the road tax of RM2 only and in real terms, the insurance cost more than the value of the motor vehicle itself…or at least 2 months worth of payments.

It’s bad that you can’t take your cover by installments…. and now it’s a bugger…and so many on the road are not insured because of this. A friend had an old banger, 1984 Volvo 240, 2356cc engine with minimum insurance costing over RM800 with full 55% No Claims Bonus…which works to about Rm1500++ for the insurance and RM450 for the tax. what utter nonsense is this??

A friend then told me of the MMIP from the Post Office which is the Malaysia Motor Insurance Pool,something like a group insurance and works back to my costs…which…guess what? RM96.40 with NCB of 25%!!! Haa Haa! The MMIP is the insurance coverage premium by the PIAM to cover under insured or uninsured riders and drivers alike, which is about RM25 per cover issued paid to the pool, something like the FDIC, FSA Savers protection premium…and so the cover is all dipped into there…

So, if you can’t afford to get cover…then head to the post office and get it done. Cheap.And if you are too lazy..send me the cover note of your last insurer and money..so I can get it done for you…the post office is below my office now anyway. For a small token fee…

That above is the one line statement in technical terms, what defines a Tablet PC, and at times do not even come with a keyboard or a touch pad as the whole LCD screen is integrated into the system, which is normally where the keyboard sits. Windows Vista supports Tablet PC with extras added in to enhance the optical character recognition or OCR for human handwriting thanks to the developments of Palm and PDAs. These new features learn the users method of input, in terms of bad handwriting like doctors and alike to short forms or acronyms will be renamed and replaced with the proper terms in all Vista editions except Basic and Starter and further enhanced with Windows 7.

Coming back to hardware base, Tablets are sometimes HEAVY due to the compact weight distribution and usually comes with a 14 inch screen and in some editions, comes with a stand. I have come across a HP Tablet PC which weighs far over 9kg which sports a 21 inch screen and totally touch screen. While an Optical Drive is a need feature, to reduce the heat dissipation, manufacturers tend to supply these as an external feature and spots usually 250GB hard drive or more with 2GB ram at least and using standard SODIMM DDR2 800 Rams as opposed to DDR2 168PIN Rams in PCs. Of course, connectivity is a must and comes with at least RJ45 and Wireless LAN and 2 USB ports.

How a tablet works, is the SAME AS ANY OTHER NOTEBOOK except that the input are replaced by the screen for a mouse and a stylus and a virtual keyboard for the QWERTY. Doctor surgeries and clinics tend to use them now as it’s more space saving and in Singapore, school going kids are being supplied with them to do away with heavy bags of books.It is also the same that Apple develops their Tablet on, and as such, serves as an e-book reader and among other functionalities like Point of Sale machines.

To me, I would still prefer a notebook as I can easily tap into the keyboard as compared to writing on the screen, or type tapping as it’s not quick enough for me. those are part of the cons, but then, you can still look it up…and make your judgement.

Well people, first off, download the File Transfer Manager from Microsoft, which acts like a multi-part breaker / booster using cloud transfer which U can pause, reconnect or such for your softwares.

What is serves is like Download Manager plug-ins for Firefox but this bugger works for IE only..and quoted:

The File Transfer Manager (FTM) is the download client if you are running Internet Explorer on Windows. Otherwise you will use the download manager included with your web browser. MSDN Subscriber Downloads detects your browser automatically and offers you the appropriate experience.

The FTM is implemented as an ActiveX control and is a 32-bit application. If you are running a 64-bit Operating System, you will need to run the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to download products.

Depending on your Corporate Group Policy, you may need to be an Administrative User to install this ActiveX control. If you experience problems with the installation, you can go to the Microsoft File Transfer Manager site and install the latest version using the MSI installer.

There is a known issue for Subscribers running Windows XP with Service Pack 2. You might receive an error stating “There was an error launching the file transfer manager. Please try again later or contact your help provider” when trying to download. Please go to the instructions to fix the file transfer manager error.

If you are running Vista or Windows Server 2008, you should check to make sure User Account Control (UAC) local policies are not preventing the ActiveX installation. In Windows Server 2008 there are 10 new UAC policies with 2 or 3 options each, and some users have found they needed to make adjustments in order to successfully install FTM. Specifically enabling “Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account” has allowed FTM to be installed for some users experiencing this problem.

And when you already have that.. you can download a physical media from MSDN (URL please ask me directly) which you can install or upgrade from x86 to x64 for those with more than 3GB ram..or 32bit CPU.

So what can be next? Buddha is Allah? How can that be? There is no way out for Malaysia other than to take away the powers of the court and convene the powers of the rulers, to dissolve the Herald, which is a Christian Weekly, that they too are totally at fault for taking this matter to court. And that no other religion is official other than ISLAM which is like that in the Indonesia Constitution, or the Pancasila.

Which is seriously sad. From the testing and stuff like that, a Home Starter key won’t work in a Enterprise, Volume License or other versions as they are built seperately unlike of Vista but if you hate Vista..and still love XP but with a kick, try Windows 2009 which is actually Windows XP SP3 but it’s labeled Windows Embedded PosReady 2009.

I personally placed and drafted my last will and testament online using my permanent blog which upon my death will be published automatically and synchronized to let my very own friends know.. that I have passed on. Somewhat it is like my own eulogy, to seek forgiveness or what not that have been done or unsettled and basically there are many ways to do it but you have to let someone know how to activate that feature.

Letting your spouse or partner know of your backup secure password so that if the unfortunate do happen, at least people can be informed of your demise or passing away. You should ensure that the password is not the same of your normal one, otherwise a conflict in the relationship may trigger that, if the spouse or partner have a grudge on you. Frankly, it is something that you should think about.

There are many websites that offer the same service for that reason, but it still depend on the human factor that if something do happen, it may be related or passed on. Some people even inform the international organisation Medic Alert that as an ICE or In Case of Emergency, their next of kin is informed and action be done should they pass away, like triggering their medical and life insurance policies.

For me, it’s quite worrying now that we are family men..unlike those days of carefree and serving the forces where we know we may not make it out alive, usually by means of a letter and something to go by, left either with someone close within the unit..or squad. Mine may just be “..sorry everyone, but I’ve died..due to reasons I have not known…but the person here may know it. This year, I set forth something I really wanted to do. With all the burden of pain, misery and problems bestowed upon me, all I ask from Him is that He grant me the wish of accepting me to be His guest at His Blessing in the next year. I have said and placed the intent of such a request for many years now, to be derailed by financial ruins and many times of what people said that we must clear our debts and dues before we set sail on such a journey.

Yet, for me, many things happened to me in the month of Dzul-Hijjah, the month of the Hajj. Hijjah is also understood that we as men should travel from one city to another seeking better life or to run away from oppression as in the Quran : “Didn’t We provide you the Lands of Allah for you to seek refuge in?” . It is said that if we don’t succeed in one place, we must move on and seek out the other pastures for the world belongs to Allah as the sayings of the Prophet that we “should seek knowledge till the ends of China” which was about circa 610 AD and even in those days, the Arabs know of the Glory and Knowledge of the Chinese or in those days, the Mongols and Hans.

Reflecting back to what happened to me for the past many decades, all happen mysteriously in the holy month. That it is commanded that we forgo trade in anticipation of the Hajj. I even had near death experiences in the month of Dzul Hijjah. Maybe it is my own life I have to sacrifice to seek refuge and blessings from Him, that only by the faith of placing my own self preservation in pure belief of His Light.

It is the same Ordain that Ismael and Abraham was ordered to sacrifice of Ismael’s life by means of a dream of his father , Abraham. For Abraham is Qalam Allah or the Pen of Allah, for he is the only one who receive the commandments directly by Allah All Mighty as compared to the rest, who received theirs through Gabriel , the Arch Angel. For God created Man to read using the Qalam.

Many would have said that near death experience will bring wonders, and for me, it was twice, of different years apart in the same month, and reminder to me of the Teachings of the Light, for reading the Quran is insufficient but without the understanding of what is being said, and the events relating to that script being handed down from Him. Though as much as I can, maybe this is the last time I would have to wait to be His guest, for The Path of the Light is about being charitable and of being kind to others. A time to repent and time to seek Him as opposed to what I have always been, in the corporate rat race.

Sometimes I find it that no wonder that people want to get back to being locked up in detention, for the ache of the family members. I feel the same things when I was discharged from the Brig back nearly a decade ago..and now I am feeling it again…that I can’t work it out.

I am voted the worst blogger of all time outside the US for 3 years running by non conventional media ( Internet Based ) which my only competitor is only the likes of Perez Hilton and from my own experience in the media industry, having the wrong game plan cost dearly to the advertising budget.

Let’s just point into Electronic Means Advertising which covers the Internet, SMS – Text Messaging and E-Mails where there are over 1.5 billion users with nearly 3 billion having a cell phone. A very harsh way to blow your Google Adsense or Yahoo Ads budget is overbidding your keywords. Keywords are what weigh in the relevancy of the article or webpage to show the respective ads. Just like in this article, advertising keywords formed may be like Advertising which is not that expensive in normal times but if you add “Computers” “Web Hosting” and other hot keywords such as CHEAP, FREE and alike will drive up a standard bid from 20 cents to over $100 for webhosting where the Earnings Per Click or EPC is double or triple of the keyword bid. Major brands and events like thanksgiving will drive the cost higher and by placing the wrong sets and subsets of keywords will blow your $100,000 budget within a day!

Another mistake done is incorrect demographic mapping where you misplace your targets to the wrong zones, say if you only want California, specifically Los Angeles visitors for your Congress Election campaign but you fail to properly research the ISP and ZIP CODE GeoIP zoning will display all your ads all over the US or worst still, whole world and getting crappy traffic which are not converting.

Mass Mailing are a thing of the past and it will be gobbled up as fast as you send it out as fraud and heuristic programs built in place at mail servers will kill off and inform the other servers of your spam pattern. It is also ILLEGAL in many states and countries with criminal penalties of over BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in the case of a Facebook Spammer.

Going into the Print Edition, wrong type proofing, incorrect details and such costs money and reprints are time consuming and not to say more money especially due to a small error on a page of the magazine, you have to reprint the entire magazine which costs anything from US$1.20 onwards depending on your quantity and complexity. Typos and such must be compensated and those will eat into your budget too.

Whatever it is, plan for all contingencies as otherwise, you will cuss and swear at that tiny mistake which may even cost your business to belly up in these difficult times. I bear it all, as knowledge from events observed makes me mindful of those small tiny costly errors which we normally take it for granted.

Dell Inspiron and Latitude series too are a heavy weight and these are definitely not a notebook computer.

Whatever it is, you decide, but at least you know anything less than a notebook size or 12 inches diagonally are a laptop computer, or even a tablet. Don’t be surprised with even a 10.2 inch tablet computer, like fro Fujitsu.

Starting off from Changi Airport, the trip down the train downtown runs through many housing estates and the Singapore Expo Hall which is located at Tanah Merah station where you connect to the East West main line. Depending on the time of the year, the Singapore Expo hosts many shows and trade events such as the Broadcast Asia which recently utilized the entire 12 halls. But if you want to hit the beach, a good place to hang out and chill out is actually next to the airport, Changi Beach.A real sandy beach with the fishing cove at Telok Paku where great fishing grounds lurk within the cove overseeing Singapore’s neighbour, the state of Johor , Malaysia. With over 5 miles of clean sandy beach to sun tan and swim, it is a place for the family. To get there, a taxi ride from the airport costs about S$20 due to the airport surcharge, otherwise, it is accessible from the Tampines or Pasir Ris Bus Terminal / Train station taking the local bus there using your Tourist Pass. It is free and open to the public all day and night.

If you fancy more classy place to chill, Sentosa Island is the new place to hang tan. A bustling Genting Resort World & Casino in Sentosa is there, opening in early 2010 with a Universal Studios theme park. Entry fees are about S$100 per adult. To get to Sentosa Island, take the train or bus to Harbor Front station. Many bus services run through downtown to this what was formerly the World Trade Center. If the theme park is too pricey, the entry fee to the island is just S$3 per person and you can either take the monorail or the bus from the Harbor Front terminal (North East MRT Line). Of which, local foods are a must for the thrifty as Singaporeans are known to live to eat and getting Halal foods are quite easy, by hopping to the local food center or food courts. A nice scenic food area to chill out at night is the Boat Quay and Clarke Quay area where night long entertainment with food and beverages served. Prices are within the ability of even the locals. Call it the local watering hole of the expatriates and locals alike. A short walk from Boat Quay is Lau Pa Sat which literally means old market which has been converted to a street food fare in the business district.

Another thing you must do is to go for the night safari which is in the Mandai Zoo. There, you can see the nocturnal animals living and going about their business which is not common in many zoos, unless you take a night trip to the tropical rain forests and getting bitten by the mosquitoes. Insect repellents are not a necessity during the trip.

Just don’t forget that if you are totally bored in Singapore, you can always hop over to Malaysia and get yourself worn down with more activities. One tip while in Singapore: Make sure you don’t bring many credit cards as you will regret it when you see the bill when you are back home. Prices are so cheap that it cannot compare to anywhere in the region. The shopping belt of Orchard Road stretches for over 7km with malls stacking up over 5 floors and more from Orchard Road to Suntec City to even Clarke Quay. Personally, a colleague of mine went there and bought numerous gold jewelery and ornaments on top of the consumer goods that it cost her more than 10 months of her paycheck.

Core aspects are to follow the KISS method which is Keep It Short and Simple ( or Keep it simple silly ) and by placing a layout which is pleasant and being user and computer friendly pays good return. One of the major mistakes are embedding applications or plugins that are not just browser unfriendly but also spider robot nightmare. One of the problems also caused by poor formatting or Cascading Style Sheet errors ( CSS Format Errors) are that what they see is not what the user gets, when encoding in one format of HTML for a browser like Internet Explorer comes up like the blocks are all over the place in Navigator, Chrome or even Safari. A major fault lies that a format designed in Linux may not even be compatible in Windows or Mac based browsers as the formatting errors are incoherent to the robot.

Recycling returns some sort of profit back to the employees such as contribution to the pantry or sports activities.

In other aspects of social responsibility is to support the local community for the local community are the ones who will stand up and fight for the survival of the company as somehow or rather, the liquidation of a company will somehow reflect into the community in terms of loss of income and jobs, disappointing the many families that rely on that account. So by contributing back into the local community, it also serves as a kind of advertising and endorsement for the operations and in many countries, localised grants are made available to companies within the community in the commonwealth states, even to aspects of advertising and business matching and grants for overseas market penetration.

On the company side, putting aside part of the operational expenses or savings into supporting the local charities or causes help alot in terms of public relations. Here we see in the UK, that banks and building societies actively engage in their local community activities and more acutely by the local credit unions with support to the local games such as football (soccer). Even big companies such as TESCO does support local activities and this in turn returns a far better exposure to their goodwill activities by the local press and even regional media. Even bloggers who are prominently critics of their normal stance such as the poor animal welfare will support the activities. Think of it as a right cancelling the many wrongs committed by the corporate governance.

Different companies in different countries takes different aspects of social responsibilities but basically, being charitable far outweighs the costs involved in comparison with the returns in sales and profits, not to mention these activities are tax deductible and in some nations, deductible against tax due. It all comes to the management of the company where they determine how responsible they are to the social aspects of the company. In many aspects, getting the workers to engage in the community breaks the daily mundane routine and helps the good well being of them by applying a healthy living way of life.

Being Malaysians who live in the metropolitan areas are all in either condominiums, flats or even landed properties, the wireless signals deteriorate and thus we will be lucky to get a single bar on the signal strength. Basically,the modem will need to send out more power and radiation to get their signals across. And if it rains, then the signal deteriorate further since water bounces off the signals like a ping pong ball.

Compare this RM80 for Celcom prepaid, RM100 for Hotlink and RM150 for Digi Prepaid with fair usage caps of about 1G,200Mb, 100Mb daily limits respectively. P1 Wimax, AMAX, WiNET and iZZy 4G are more expensive than these players.

I seriously giving up on these wireless and so I will have to stay near to my McDonalds for my downloads and proper connection. Hmmn.

As a result, some of our ISPs have took out our services due to the breach in CPU loads and bandwidth, and as such, caused the network unavailable banner to come up.

I am looking for a better solution to cascade my servers and loads and due to Powweb (Endurance International Group) being an arse and caused me to loose files, I am hunting for a more reliable source of services.

As such, if you still see the errors, please….mind the brickworks and that TM is slow. I am trying to fiddle the Blackberry Bold 9000 to work faster with the loads on the blackberry net APN,so that the files are moved forward.

Due to a few factors, many of the servers located on the East Coast (New York, Boston MA, New Jersey ) are timing out to those located in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Thailand. This is NOT because of a link fault but due to some inconsistent issues by GCWW and AT&T fiberclouds.

Our Proxy Servers link are also not available to MAXIS networks due to technical upgrades on their firewalls.

Thing is, with so many XP Service pack versions of Windows in circulation and that I purchased them on seperate occasions and not all at the same time gives me the creeps. Knowingly, SP1 keys will not work on original XP CD.

Stupid keys for XP3 will not work on SP1 and likewise for the Home Editions. Which is taking the piss out of me. Now I really have to fall back onto upgrading Vista and then downgrading into XP Pro or Home using a pirated installer disc which is really bad. It’s a matter of Principles, when I have PAID for the original thing and I am hereby forced to utilise pirated versions of the installer to get to where I needed to get done.

Mainly, you do a fresh Install. Disregard any updates available etc and just install the copy. Some SATA Drivers are not loaded (many aren’t) and then just run windows as normal. If you update, then you will need a genuine key. I can sell you the key for an exchange of your current Vista Key and the CD. It’s that I got a whole stash of devices which is sitting still.

The American market is totally a joke, because there are so many players in the market that they undercut each other and it’s tainted with terror and gangs the like, especially in New York. Many have died off taking the publisher revenue with it, even in the Asian Regions. Go Kita or formerly known as Nufflets is the latest casualty to the process with little financial backing and other problems caused them to lose their pool of publishers and without a pool of publishers, they can’t get any sales as there is no where to advertise.
