Of which, I do remember the good old days of the Nanyang Polytechnic, specifically French Singapore Institute Jurong SEG Campus which I think the foto is taken in 1995 I think .. with many of the good old memories down there.

Sometimes, we make tons of mistakes and well, I did regret till today.

Just trying something new

After a long while, my other old links and accounts are not working, SEOEngineering 101 and BlogWalker which are still active and I have yet to figure what is the problem with it, and so now I'm trying something new.

Early birthday present...

I got a little early present from my colleague at Aductions (what is now ZYRAZ) and well, I was talking about how crappy Blackberry is ..and yeah the older versions tend to crash, hang and what ever they call it. I know you guys will hate me because of the processor and well, the Razor (storm) is a better version as it feels like the iPhone.

One thing I must say..the built in GPS is GOOD. Despite useless software made for it..I found that combined with a 3G support and Google MAPS...it's quite good. Very precise and as I had to pay over RM290 mth for this crap over 2 years, I do admit it is a wiser choice, since it's INSURED and WARRANTED against THEFT, Robbery...or idiotic reverse engineering by me..... The package was simple... $148 plan on the Blackberry service + $30 for the BIS system (unlimited internet 24/7!!) and $100 for the phone. Break the contract is a $1920 penalty.

This is the real thing and well, GPS is also good since U can set it to your Google Account and check on your loved ones using Google Latitude.

I'm gonna fiddle it more!

Let me explain that is going on. Property Protection slows down the deterioration of your property by about 1% per 6hours. That is what it does. Call it Maintenance required on it. So if you never renovate or take care of your property, it will deteriorate rapidly till you don't have money to earn. Well, trickles of it.

Property protection gives just 5 strikes of lower damage to your property. If I whack your property of 100 casinos with your 100 street thug goons, it just lower the hit from 7.5% to 4.5% depending on my stats at that time. I will in turn return a higher damage points like 30-50 compared to 10-30hit points.

Even at high levels, doesn't mean I can whack U easy. A 501 can convert to 86 as that is the number of mafias under his level. So meaning you need loads of newbies to fight. Think of it as a Jackie Chan Chinese Triad fight. They whack in numbers without care of anything but only at that level. They can't bring their bosses or their Elders to the fight as it's about honor.

In comparison to Fights, you stand a high chance of drop loot and extra experience compared to 3 max in robbing.Things you will definitely find are Stun Guns, Paintings, Concealed Camera, Illegal Transaction Records, Computer Setup, Untraceable Cellphone and loads of weapons, Luxury Yacht, Humvees and my favorite weapons like Napalms, 50mm guns and so on.

Some of the American Big Boys and clans are complaining of the ROB feature and are even striking. So what? I said as I got bullied by LCN, Elite, SBG and many more that I can take out on them using the rob feature. Think of 3 or 4 victims taking out on you?! How it hurts..then with no money...you get hit listed..and hit again and again despite you being dead. No money to heal and no money to repair.

Yeah... due to a dispute and numerous complaints by the ISP and to the ISP, I lost my Chinese Domain, which is nothing and I'm stream lining my operations.

Loads of costs involved and the economical sense kicks in...so I'll reroute all my resources for now..and pool into one place.

Delays to the GST Offset and rebates?

New year 2009, where everyone is painfully waiting for the GST Offset and Credits makes one wonder if the Singapore Government is scaling back on the payout of the GST Offset.

Experts have said that due to the poor economic situation in the world, Singapore would not be increasing the Goods and Services Tax or GST to the the targetted 10% in line with the reduction of the VAT cuts by the British and some European partner countries to boost the frailing economy.

Which means one thing, NO $250 payout to the citizens this year. The fact that NSFs are getting an extra $20 for their group insurance means one thing, less benefits to the citizens, and CPW based benefits are to go for uniform groups.

Though this is just skeptical talk, the government is not doing it's part by not announcing the needed news for the payout which most citizens are really desperate for, especially in times of retrenchments and ever increasing costs.

The stimulus package is great for some, mainly bigger SMEs but not for the guy on the street. Money is getting harder and with in close ranks effect the debtors more. What Government could do is lend more money, from our own CPF Funds and lower credit card rates to a base rate of 10% being that the base lending rate is near to nothing. Many have lost thousands or even their whole life savings in the stock markets, in relations to the insurance ponzi and crashing unit trust prices, and as such the government should look into more to help it's own citizens, not just the foreigners. Despite that the foreign workforce earns the government $350 a month in terms of levies, the money should be pooled back to the citizens, local or abroad as they are supposed to care for us, not for their own pockets or even their friends.

Don't let the political scene be like Malaysia in the next decade, where citizens are not happy and revolving to the face of a heart. PAP have done a good job for the past 40 years and it is due for another mandate soon enough. A fluke electorate will cause more chaos and have Bob the Builder at the helm of the government.

Fan Box?? What Box?

It's been a hell of a week. XMAS rush, fire sales, KLIA and running about like the headless chicken as it is makes me mad, and drive the toll up on my transportation. Yeah, the bike is screwed after the engine oil leaked out and basically it kapooted the engine blocks and piston which NAZA said that it can only be done after the new year...means 2 weeks time. Bad enough the car is in the JPJ compound due to the accident during hari raya (police car crashed into me) and well, I have to rush another order for the KLIA and LCCT which is a real turning point to me. Hopefully the deal can be done as it's worth almost RM250k a month in sales alone with more recurring business.

Fan box is the next on my agenda. After my clash with the guy at i-gomobile, which is like Monsun, I had to develop another payment application system where you don't need to use your bank account to pay for stuff. I mainly don't like them because of hints by some compliance guys at Bank Negara that these people will be shut down soon due to their get rich quick schemes. So it's back to my drawing board for reverse payment systems as I look back to my old com padre SMS.AC which now is FANBOX.

There are many application development systems in place and mainly using C# which I hated because of it's links to Microsoft and their tech teams. So then the alternative was PHP interface with FLASH and xPML which I was wondering what the heck was that. eXtended Phone Markup Language just like the XML but for mobile communications with Java enabled systems. Ouch.

Where can I get help on that one I wondered and then revert to their forums and WiKi which is a useless place to be since their wiki had been defaced by so many people. It's a money making business actually since good applications earn over US$300k based on the $1 per international download or activation or US$5 per US download. Given the number of Black Berries and what not are there, it's a real deal as I can port payment systems, guides etc to mobile phones. Interface Google earth and then mark the local shops etc on there so that these Small Medium Enterprise (IKS-which to me means Industri Kuman/ Kawan-kawan dan sebagainya...literally means super micro enterprises) as they are booming like mushrooms after a rainfall.

It's an industry to be tapped with, as many willing to pay small amounts for little bit of extra help, especially with the cashflow and advertising. Being known and 10% sales increase is already a thankful situation for them, with just an investment of RM100. Small but in volumes.

Anyway, that is one thing I got to research these few days before my deadline with MAB and MMP Com for the press media.
