Going into a risky business
Someone asked me why on earth I am gambling my future with Scotland and the Frontier Technology? And when they said Frontier Technology means CryptoCurrency / CryptoGrass (a pun from my local Singaporean friends as they were forgotten by the bosses and not get paid on time again!) also known as BitCoin or Alt-Coin / Currency.
The thing is.. SCOTLAND IS A CHEAP PLACE TO LIVE! And I saw one I loved for the cost of my HDB Flat! And it's remote and with good internet. Just the place I need. Gigabit Connections and no one to bugger me with problems.
Honestly... the world is so hyped on the drug called American Dollars that they forget that the American Currency is just another piece of bond paper like any other stock as it has no value behind it. Unlike Singapore dollars where they back $10 with ONE GRAM OF GOLD and that is only for the PRINTED NOTES and not the Digital Cyber Currencies stored in your CEPAS card such as EzLink , NETSFlashpay or even in your bank account. Hence forth , it is not worth the bits and bobs in terms of Gold and Silver. Where in Islamic terms, ONE DINAR or DIRHAM is denominated by 4.5Grams of pure Gold or Silver such as the rule with the DUCAT et al.
Think of Alternative Crypto Currency as another form of barter credit. I will accept goods worth say at today's rate of SGD600 (was $740 few days back!) per ONE BITCOIN. And one bitcoin is divided into nano units or 1 of a Billionth Unit == 1.00 00 00 00 and looks more like a MAC ADDRESS.
So if the demand of the currency unit goes up...so does the value as there is a limit to how many is in use.
Now there are many other currencies in the cyberworld similar to you using Facebook and Facebook Credits is used to buy game tokens. We have Darkcoin, Doge, SCOTCOIN and many others. The limit is stated when the developer created the crypto currency.
So we can exchange 0.01 of the Bitcoin or BTC to say 10000 Scotcoins instead to the merchant's liking. Just like the old Pre-EU days where we carry Liras,Francs,Deutsche marks, Florins, Swiss Francs, Gilders etc etc etc.
There is no GOVERNMENT TO THESE CURRENCIES. Viking Coin for example has only a max of 5000 coins to be circulated. So it should give a better market cap if there is a huge demand to the exchange rate maybe in a year's time of 10BTC=1VIK.
So I am now dabbling in these and I am going to PHASE 3 of my PLAN!
What?? Give me $5,000,000 and I will let you in on these...
Have Fun!

They can rest and come home #MH17
Just as I am composing this... there are reports of ALGIERS flight #AH5017 just crashed off the borders of Niger en-route to Algeria where they suspect bad weather caused the crash. There were about 119 souls on board.
To those on board MH17, you can now come and rest... for you can now come home.

Remembering #MH17
What had happened is too much to bear such that despite me being a Singaporean, the Singapore Airliner could have been the victim if they were just few mins earlier.
To respect the families and mourn those who perished.... I am blacking out till the perpetrators are brought to justice.
May ALLAH grant peace to the families and the souls who perished on flight MH17 and MH370

Singapore as a BitCoin Hub
In order to be a hub,one must ensure the network is secure, stable and efficient. That Singapore has it. With 1Gbs connection to my home thanks to MyRepublic, I can now do the Bitcoin Mining Rig as a main core of my income. Less of course some power bill subsidies.
But having said that, it in itself is not an INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY save for ScotCoins which they are pushing at par to the Scottish Pound. Many outlets however have started to gain the trust of the community by accepting BitCoin as a Payment Mode.
I do not vouch for anyone but I have dealt with some exchanges for the last week or so and i tested iGot and FYBSG. iGot is an international company but they wire from Australia and you lose currency as DBS charges you for incoming wire. I had an issue last week as DBS wants the wire to be exactly as in yr ic... so it's a pain..
Which is why I chose the local player FYBSG despite a lower price and a bigger margin, they approved my payment and I got it within HOURS of the Selloff. FYB uses MAYBANK and accept CASH DEPOSIT too in Singapore. There is no Malaysia Seller..but I am able to accomodate that.
If anyone wants to SELL or BUY bitcoin in Malaysia... come contact me. Send me IC copy+License+MAYBANK Statement for KYC regulations. Otherwise if you are in Singapore FYBSG is a local based entity

NEW SHENZEN AIRPORT
Folks, please disregard all info on the Shenzen Airport guides you have as it's outdated as the new terminal opened 3 months ago and I had a very bad time getting about.
International Arrivals is on LEVEL 1 aka GROUND. Fill up the yellow embarkation form and exit to the Ground Transport Center which is on the other building.
There are many shops and you will see a Starbucks there on the left. The old terminal is at AIRPORT EAST but new one is a distance away and you take the LUOHU Line (Green) Metro to Hui Rui. There is a shuttle bus to the terminal. Bus number is M416 and very crowded and these Mainland Chinese push and shove about and they have their manners kept in the ancestral homes up in the mountains. There is no fee to it.
From the GTC , there is a Shuttle to the Metro. It's ahead 12'o clock. Hours between 0700-2200 as the last trains leave about 2230.
Get a SHENZEN TONG aka Oyster/Octopus/EZLink whatever you call it back home. RMB100. The Single ticket machines accept only 5Yuan notes or COINS! Pain in the backside.
Town Shuttle to LuoHu cost about RMB20 or so. Its on your left if I am not mistaken
Bus to Hong Kong is on the right as there is a counter selling them.
Ferry to Macau and Hong Kong Airport is also around there.
Don't take the night flight home as if you arrive after 10, basically, you are screwed.
Taxis cost about RMB200 to LuoHu or about US$40. Red taxis operate where the Special Economic Zone is or about where you see any Metro Station. Anywhere outside, you need the GREEN Taxi.
If you go from Town / City Centre to visit a factory OUTSIDE THE ZONE, you need to alight at SHENZEN NORTH and change to a GREEN TAXI. Otherwise, I always take the Metro to the nearest to the area (usually Northwards to GuangZho from the lake, and Red Line) and get a Green Cab.
Costs is about US$1 or so a KM. So run a guide with Google Maps and you can see for yr self.
Shenzen is an expensive place now, trust me

Mining as a service.
Mining as a service.
First off, this is not to be taken lightly in view of BTC or BITCOIN has reached a critical USD540 mark recently and those who were hogging it are really booming from this phenomena.
What is BITCOIN or any of the digital coins? Think of this as another form of currency, obtained digitally thru mining and Proof of Work and there is a limited supply of these coins about.
Anyone can create a currency and it's not so hard, but being accepted is another matter altogether. As time goes by, the stockpile of coins are reduced and the chain gets harder to mine.
As of today, after the launch of BITCOIN, the difficulty stands at 8.8+ Trilion and that goes up 8% every 14 days or so and at current rate, using a 1TH *(Tera Hash) miner which is the biggest in the market **(cos it takes 1000W of Power), it would take you about 500+ days to find a block worth 25 coins or so.
So, they work as a pool to mine and combine the compute capability to find the next block and everyone is given a fair share based on their computing grid.
In retrospect, 1TH or 1024GH consists of 40 or so ASIC chips and these are far faster than your GPU/VIDEO card. One GEFORCE 750M can throw up about 1.4MH and and i7 CPU about 2.5MH or so.
It all goes back to the basics of computing which is CISC or RISC process compute. Think of a Motorcycle can go faster in a short sprint than a huge truck.
I am now writing this in SHENZEN,CHINA where I hope I make the right decision in my R&D to rate and test this machine all together, but the other cryptos such as SHA256D which Bitcoin uses *(and I paid for) is far shorter than of SCRYPT, SCRYPT-N and the latest X-11 which the ASIC chip cannot handle. I may look into the possibility of R&D some X11 machine as I see a trick somewhere here. All I need now is a XEON Machine with 8 cores and Dual CPU to prove my theory right.
Lets see where it goes.

Who wants to get S$24,000??
THAT IS A SIMPLE QUESTION.
You want to know...come ask me personally. But there are loads of T&C
This no scam, or fast game thingy.
You need to be really into the business....
And.....you need at least $100,000 to invest
Not bad for 24% return right?

Media Statement
Someone asked if I am from MyRepublic....
I am basically an independent consultant.... and so.. I am not working for MyRepublic nor I am a staff.
Official statement.
Hi NGBC and all.....
I don't work for MyRepublic aka "the company". I am independent... I am a Customer AND CONSUMER ...and I am not affiliated to them, other than being a happy camper..and refer customers to them because I LIKE THEIR SERVICE. I get some compensation for that. You should be too if you are happy with them.
We , the MPP, are independent partners/channel partners/resellers and it's also stated in my blog about me being honest about whatever my opinions were as I do not receive remuneration for my endorsements. It's purely like a "REFER-A-FRIEND" program..... and honestly.. I am still licensed by IDA to work for other ISPs in accordance to ICANN mandates pertaining ISPCP members. Thus the knowledge of the whole industry is commonly shared to others as I do not believe in hiding anything.
Sorry to say, my stand makes me labeled "WORST BLOGGER OF ALL TIME" for 3 years.... and I stick to my principles because if a product is good.. it's good and if something goes weary... then it should NOT be covered up and resolved openly so others can learn on it.
MR did something wrong somewhere within the network.... we let them know and they will get it fixed. I am very curious too as it's something for us to learn from the mistakes they made, just as during the ICANN49 meet which discussed about the Google NameServer hacked despite being DNSSEC signed.
As such, you see me going about the forums even helping those in red, green and other camps with their network, be it ADSL, Fiber or even Metro-E as I have the working knowledge of things, and with my G60 clearance, I can sway many sides....and still stay neutral of things.
You can find out more about me from LinkedIn
Thank you

Condolences to #MH370
I can't say enough... but on behalf of myself, family , friends and those within ARF Solution, MyRepublic Partners and Zyraz Technology Group International, we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the families , kin, friends and alike of those on board Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 which the Malaysian Government declared them as Lost at Sea.
It is not appropriate to declare their loss before the bodies or full wreckage is found and as such and at till a point of time, our sites will be dimmed and in the colors of mourning, Plain White or Dark Gloomy Grey.
I will be wearing those colors at the ICANN Community Meet aka ICANN49 in Singapore wearing sombre T-Shirt instead as a mark of respect to those who perished.
May God have Mercy on their Souls.

accident again
yeah, new year and its already the start of the rainy season, and I've been lucky that mother nature been kind to me.
however, a silly bus driver decided that a road with double white lines is a good place to do a u turn and I am unfortunate enuff to smack his side. with bruises to my tummy and body, and multiple hits to the head, I am still facing giddiness and pain all over. plus the groin is bruised up bad with scrapes and bruises.
other than that, I'm still lucky to be alive. too bad the other party might loose his driving license.
